Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) Is An Initiative Of Vijnana Bharti In Collaboration With Vigyan Prasar, An Autonomous Organization Under The Department Of Science And Technology, Government Of India And NCERT (an Institution Under The Ministry Of Education).
VVM Is A National Program For Popularizing Science Among School Students Of Standard VI To XI, Conceptualized To Identify Bright Minds With A Scientific Aptitude From The Student Community.
- To create interest among students in pure science
- To educate school children about India’s contributions, from traditional to modern, to the world of science and technology
- To provide hands-on training to students through workshops and other events
- To provide mentors for preparing students to carry forward their education in the field of science.
- To conduct competitive tests to identify students who have a scientific bent of mind.
- To identify successful students at the State and National levels and felicitate them.
- To Provide exposure visits for the winner to R&D institutions in the country
Students of Class VI to Class XI from All Boards are eligible to write this examination. The examination will be conducted separately for Junior Group (Class VI to VIII) & for Senior Group (Class IX to XI).

Digital Format can be accessed 45 days prior to exam. No hard copies will be provided.
VVM is a National Level, unique, App based science talent search examination that is conducted online. The registered students will be allowed to take Level 1 (school Level) exam from his/her won device (a smart phone, laptop or desktop) from their home.

- There are three levels of selections for VVM. Evaluation of students will be based on their individual performance at each level.

Note: * Answers of Section-B will be evaluated only if a student secures equal to or more than 50% (i.e., equal to or more than 20 Marks) in Section-A. The final merit list to identify participants for State Level Camp would be prepared based on total marks scored in both segments namely Section-A & Section-B. In case, if there is tie in rankings, marks obtained in Section-A will be the deciding one.
Level 2 State Level Camp (SLC)
- Top 20 Ranker from each class for every state will be identified to participate in the SLC.
- The duration of camp will be one or two days.
- SLC will consist of Application Oriented MCQs, Hands on Activities, Observation and Analysis, Situational Problem Solving and a series of other activities.
- It will be organized at any location within the state. States can be clubbed according to number of students who appeared for the examination as per consideration of their geographical and cultural resemblance and convenience of the students.
Level 3 National Camp (NC)
- Top 2 students for each class i.e., total 12 students from each state will be invited for NC.
- The duration of camp will be Two Days. NC will comprise of Presentations, Activities to test Scientific Understanding, Innovation, Creativity, Out-of-Box Thinking and Assessment of Leadership Quality.
