Exam Brief
Green Olympiad (GO) Is An Environment Quiz Conducted For The School Students. It Is Organised By TERI (The Energy And Resource Institute). The Overall Objective Of This Initiative Is To Sensitize And Build Capacity Of Students On Environment, Sustainability, And Green Skills. This Olympiad Is Designed For Students Of Std. 4–12.
- It is a medium to minimize rote learning and instead encourage holistic development
- It test knowledge levels of students about environment and sustainable development issues
- Information gained through participation in this Olympiad is translated into environment improvement activities at the school level
Students of grades 4 to 12 enrolled in a school (Indian or International) affiliated to recognized educational board or trust are eligible to appear for GREEN Olympiad.
Students from classes 4 - 12 can participate in this Olympiad through four levels (Level 1 – Std. 4 & 5, Level 2 – Std. 6 - 8, Level 3 – Std. 9 & 10, Level 4 – Std. 11 & 12).
GO addresses a range of topics such as water, waste, energy, air, biodiversity, climate, global warming, sustainable development, culture, green skills and current affairs pertaining to environment and sustainable development. The examination is not based on any prescribed syllabus or textbooks.
- There are 50 questions with multiple choice of answers (single correct) for each level.
- There is no negative marking.
- Examination is conducted offline.
- It is 60 mins duration exam. Medium will be English.
Any one date between 01 September 2023 or 12 October 2023.
