Exam Brief

JEE Main Is A Standardized Test Conducted Across Different States In India. The Exam Is Held At An Undergraduate Level To Offer Admissions To Some Of The Best Engineering And Technical Institutions That Are Government Funded Or Privately-owned.

 

JEE Main 2024 Is Generally Conducted For Three Groups Of Aspirants:

  • Paper 1 Is For Students Aspiring To Take Up B.E. Or B. Tech. Courses.
  • Paper 2A Is For Students Aspiring To Take Up B. Arch. Course.
  • Paper 2B Is For Students Aspiring To Take A B. Planning Course.

 

JEE Main 2024 Will Be Conducted In Two Sessions, One In January And One In April.

Questions That Appear In The JEE Main Are Mostly NCERT Based. However, It Is Known For Its Tricky Questions Designed To Test The Candidate’s Understanding Of The Concepts And Analytical Skills.

  • Students should have passed class 12 with 75%  &  above or  be in the top 20 percentile of their respective board.
     
  • There is no JEE Main age limit. Any student who has passed the 12th class or its equivalent exam is eligible.
     
  • JEE Main attempt limit is set for three consecutive years.
     
  • The entrance test will be conducted in two attempts (January and April).

JEE main Syllabus

Class-11 & 12.

The duration of JEE Main exam Paper 1 is 3 hours (4 hours for the PwD candidates). This paper is held online. There are two sections for each subject - MCQs (Section A) and numerical (Section B). In Section A, 20 questions are asked from each of the subjects, and all are compulsory. In Section B, 10 questions are asked from each. Candidates can select and answer any 5 questions as per their choice.
