Exam Brief
JEE Advanced Is The Second Phase Of JEE, A National-level Engineering Entrance Examination Conducted By Different Zonal IITs, Usually On A Rotational Basis Every Year. Candidates Who Qualify For The JEE Mains Are Eligible To Appear For IIT JEE Advanced.
Further, Students Are Granted Admission To Some Of The Top Indian IITs And NITs Or CFITs, Etc. Based On Ranks Obtained In The JEE Advanced Exam.
Both papers will have 3 sections: Paper 1 Physics Chemistry Mathematics Paper 2 Physics Chemistry MathematicsParticulars Details Mode of the Examination Computer-based examination Medium of the Examination English and Hindi Number of Papers The exam will have two compulsory papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2 Total Time Duration 3 hours for each paper (4 hours for PwD candidates) Number of Sections Marking Scheme The exam has a concept of full, partial and zero marks.
Candidates should be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in B.E./B.Tech. paper of JEE (Main) 2024.
The percentages of various categories of candidates to be shortlisted are: 10% for GEN-EWS, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and the remaining 40.5% is OPEN for all. Within each of these five categories, 5% horizontal reservation is available for PwD candidates.
