The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) Is The World Championship Mathematics Competition For High School Students And Is Held Annually In A Different Country. It Is The Aim Of The IMO To Bring Young People Together From All Over The World To Enjoy The Challenges Of Mathematics In A Spirit Of Friendly Competition.
The Nodal Agency For All The Science And Mathematics Olympiads In The Country Is The Homi Bhabha Centre For Science Education (HBCSE), A National Centre Of The Tata Institute Of Fundamental Research (TIFR). In Year 2023-24, The Mathematical Olympiads Are Conducted In 5 Stages. Out Of Which 4 Stages Are Held At National Level
The IOQM is being conducted by the Mathematics Teachers’ Association (India)
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Students born between August 1, 2004 and January 1, 2011, and studying in Class 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12, are eligible to write IOQM 2023. Please note that NO student born after January 1, 2011 will be allowed to write IOQM 2023.
The student must not have qualified (or scheduled to appear) class 12 board examination earlier than 30 October, 2023.

SYLLABUS
The syllabus for Mathematical Olympiad (pre-regional, regional, national and international) is pre-degree college mathematics. The major areas from which problems are given are algebra, combinatorics, geometry and number theory. The syllabus does not include calculus and statistics. The difficulty level increases from IOQM to RMO to INMO to IMO.

Type of Question | 10 questions of 2 marks each; 10 questions of 3 marks each; 10 questions of 5 marks each. Total Marks - 100 The answer to each question is an integer in the range 00-99. No negative marking. |
